Absolute Radio is looking for experienced freelance journalists who are ready to make the step into national radio and broadcast across the UK.
You need to be passionate about news and sport, and be able to prove your on-air skills in both (to our audience, sport is just as important as news)
You need a minimum of 18 months experience working in a local/regional or national newsroom in an on-air capacity.
You should have a great voice as well as a degree or post-graduate qualification in Journalism.
Familiarity with our playlist is an advantage.
The Absolute Radio studios are based in Soho so you need to be able to reach Central London at short notice.
If successful, you could be offered a variety of ad-hoc shifts across our output - including working with presenters such as Frank Skinner, Christian O'Connell and Dave Gorman.
You may also be asked to contribute to our live Barclays Premier League football coverage which begins in August. To apply: Please email a copy of your CV and a news/sport bulletin in MP3 format to andrew.bailey@absoluteradio.co.uk (Head of News and Sport) - closing date is Friday 23rd July. Radio Talent profile pages also welcome as part of the application
