Networking has changed, programmers and station managers are
increasingly irritated by cold contact, un-solicited CVs and or demos, not to
mention having email in-boxes bombarded with attachments.
The voiceover world is crowded; everyone is a presenter or a
DJ, and more people than ever are all fighting for the same jobs. It is with
this in mind that anything you can do which adds value or networks for you
whilst you sleep is a good thing. As the available talent number grows rapidly
not only do the Radio stations have a more difficult job, locating , monitoring
and remembering where to find everyone, but established talent can no longer
rest on their laurels.
Just as importantly as protecting the status of established
artists and talent, Radio needs new talent and so Radio Talent was designed to platform
newcomers, which long term the industry desperately needs.
